  OSCILLOSCOPE LABORATORIES PRESENTS

BELLFLOWER
WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY EVAN GLODELL

The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, August 5, 2011
with a
National rollout to follow.

Best friends Woodrow (Writer/Director Evan Glodell) and Aiden (Tyler Dawson) spend all of their free time building MAD MAX-inspired flamethrowers and cars in preparation for a global apocalypse.

But when Woodrow meets a charismatic young woman and falls hard in love, he and Aiden quickly integrate into a new group of friends, setting off on a journey of love and hate, betrayal, infidelity, and extreme violence more devastating and fiery than any of their apocalyptic fantasies.

A much celebrated debut, Glodell wrote, stars in, and directed the film.  He also incorporated his engineering background and unique talents into the production - fashioning custom optics for the  camera, hand-crafting a fully-functional flame-thrower and transforming Medusa from the guts of a 1972 Buick Skylark to the fire-breathing road warrior featured in the film.

MEDUSA, THE FIRE-BREATHING CAR
ROLLS INTO THE NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW TO CELEBRATE THE UPCOMING SUMMER RELEASE OF EVAN GLODELL'S BELLFLOWER

(New York, NY, April 19, 2011) - Visionary filmmaker Evan Glodell will be celebrating his upcoming Summer movie release of Oscilloscope Laboratories' BELLFLOWER this weekend by unveiling his hand-crafted, road ready and apocalypse- equipped car - Medusa - at the New York International Auto Show. This unforgettable machine creates some of the film's most high-octane moments amidst the romance cum revenge-fantasy tale of love, betrayal and vengeance.

Medusa will be located in booth 1532 ("The Batmobile Booth") on Level 1 of the Exhibition floor

NY International Auto Show is located at Jacob Javits Center in NYC (April 22 through May 1,2011)

Glodell, a former engineering student, constructed Medusa to be a real-life road monster. Unlike the Batmobile, Glodell's Medusa is the real deal - no CGI or special camera tricks needed...the extraordinary features you see in the film are the same features you will see when you meet Medusa in person!

Medusa is equipped with two fuel injected exhaust flamethrowers with a 30,000 volt ignition system, smoke screen, a bleach drift-kit, adjustable rear suspension, 3 surveillance cameras (all in which are controlled from the dashboard), a customized apocalypse exhaust system, 6-71 Supercharger, posi rear end, a self-contained oxygen supply for chemical or underwater warfare, a roll cage, stow-able fold-down back seat and occasionally holds a sawed-off shotgun in the trunk in case of emergency.

INTO ETERNITY

Melds Science Fiction with Philosophic and Environmental Issues, As It Considers the Future of Nuclear Waste

U.S. Theatrical Premiere Wednesday, February 2 2011 at Film Forum-NYC

Film Forum is pleased to present the U.S. theatrical premiere of INTO ETERNITY, beginning Wednesday, February 2. Onkalo (Finnish for “hiding place”) is under construction: it’s a cavernous world of tunnels and corridors, a permanent storage facility for nuclear waste, meant to last 100,000 years. (That’s 20 times as long as the pyramids have so far.)

Conceptual artist Michael Madsen’s film is a creepy, eerily elegant meditation on human folly, punctuated by philosophical and historical references, that asks:

How do you keep 3,000 future generations from inadvertently opening this Pandora’s Box? Should markers be posted in every language or in hieroglyphics that say “keep out”?

Would it be better not to post any notice and hope no one will chance upon it? And what about the Ice Age predicted to occur in a mere 60,000 years? Will the weight of the ice impact the structural integrity of Onkalo?

If you thought the BP oil spill was scary…

Unlike Davis Guggenheim’s AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH (2006), which uses logic, diagrams, and faith in the power of human reason to fashion solutions to problems of our own making – INTO ETERNITY seems to suggest that the human race is in deep denial about the 250,000 tons of radioactive refuse already in existence.

Danish director Michael Madsen confronts the absurdity of the situation by approaching his subject with varying degrees of realism.

INTO ETERNITY will have a 2-week engagement, February 2-15, at Film Forum-NYC, West Houston Street (West of 6th Avenue), with screenings daily at 1:00, 2:45, 4:30, 6:15, 8:00 and 10:00.

INTO ETERNITY (2010, 75 mins.) Written and Directed by Michael Madsen. Produced by Lise Lense-Moller. Co-producers: Sami Jahnukainen, Kristina Aberg, Lisa Taube, Tomas Eskilsson. Camera: Heikki Farm. Editors: Daniel Dencik, Stefan Sundlof. Denmark / Finland / Sweden.  In English, Finnish & Swedish with English subtitles. Released by Films Transit International.
