Film Forum is proud to present two classic Bob Dylan concert films in tribute to the musical bard's 70th birthday (b. May 24, 1941): D.A. Pennebaker's cinema verite milestone, DONT LOOK BACK, shot in 1965 during Dylan's British tour, and Murray Lerner's THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR: BOB DYLAN LIVE AT THE NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL 1963-1965.
DONT LOOK BACK and THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR will have a one-week engagement, May 18-24, at Film Forum, West Houston Street (West of 6th Avenue). Each film has a separate admission.
DONT LOOK BACK opens with the iconic Subterranean Homesick Blues cue-card sequence and follows Dylan on his whirlwind '65 UK tour, tailed by the press, composing songs during down time in hotel rooms, plus his now-famous withering interview with Time magazine, and playing two triumphant nights at the Royal Albert Hall, performing All I Really Want to Do, The Times They Are A-Changin', and Don't Think Twice, It's All Right.
DONT LOOK BACK plays daily at 1:00, 4:45, and 8:30.

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR showcases all of Dylan's performances at the Newport Folk Festival from 1963-65, from his origins in folk in '63 (Blowin' in the Wind) to his expanding lyrical powers in '64 (Mr. Tambourine Man, Chimes of Freedom) and culminating in his blazing, legendary "electric" set with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in '65 (Maggie's Farm, Like a Rolling Stone).
